Etoposide (etoposide, VP16-213) has a broad spectrum of anticancer activity and a relatively high therapeutic index, especially for early-stage small cell lung cancer with poor prognosis. However, its solubility in water is small, a large dose of clinical medication needs to be improved dosage form. This article will be made into liposomes, conducted a more systematic formulation studies, and explore its efficacy and distribution in vivo. For the first time, the third derivative UV spectrophotometry was used to determine the content of VP16-213 liposomes without the interference of the excipients. The recovery rate was 99.87 ± 1.87%.
