近十年以来,中国乃至世界的文化格局又发生了相当大的变化和发展,迈进21世纪的中国画艺术,面临新的机遇和挑战。入世后外来文化的涌入,也必将促使中国画在一个新的平台上迎接新一轮的文化竞争。为了促进中国画在新的形势下进一步的发展,继承中国画优秀文化传统,体现文化创新精神,中国美术家协会认为今后有必要定期(三至五年)举办具有最高学术品位和广泛包容量的全国性中国画大展,并以届次延续下去。
In the recent ten years, the cultural landscape in China and the world has undergone considerable changes and developments. The art of Chinese painting in the 21st century is facing new opportunities and challenges. The influx of foreign cultures after China’s accession to the WTO will surely also urge Chinese painting to meet a new round of cultural competition on a new platform. In order to promote the further development of traditional Chinese painting in the new situation, to inherit the excellent cultural traditions of Chinese painting and embody the spirit of cultural innovation, the Chinese Artists Association believes that it is necessary to hold nationally the highest academic quality and extensive capacity at regular intervals (three to five years) Chinese painting exhibition, and the continuation of the session.
