Operating conditions at the Ita Uba station in Brazil lead to wear of the turbine aqueduct system, which in turn leads to wear of the guide vane bearings and other components. The repair solution uses a self-lubricating bearing with a composite metal structure that uses a different solution to the different parts of the guide mechanism. The repair program, repair systems and components and repair procedures were introduced.
