钱学森(1911~),中国现代杰出的科学家,世界著名的火箭专家。因其对中国航天事业所作的杰出贡献,被誉为“中国航天之父”。 1934年,风华正茂的钱学森在上海交大机械工程系毕业。当年就考取了清华大学公费留学生,并选择了飞机设计专业,到大洋彼岸去实现自己科学救国的理想。从1935年赴美至1955年回国,钱学森在美20年,以卓著的研究成果,被他的导师、世界气体力学大师冯·卡门赞为“美国火箭技术领域最伟大的天才、最出色的火箭专家”。钱学森与F·J·马林纳合作的《远程火箭的评论与初步分析》,奠定了地地导弹和探空火箭的理论基础;他与导师冯·卡门提出的高超音速流动理论,为空气动力学的发展奠定了基础;以他和冯·卡门命名的卡门一钱学森公式被用于高亚音速飞机的气
Qian Xuesen (1911 ~), a distinguished modern Chinese scientist and a world famous rocket expert.
