Recent advances in fracturing fluid technology have introduced a unique fluid-free fracturing fluid called the LMWF. Despite its very stable rheological behavior during pump-in, the initial low viscosity of the fracture is restored shortly after closure. This article describes the unique performance of the system and the effect of the system on the stimulation produced by fracturing operations. The effects of well dynamics related to “effective” fracture geometry and fracturing fluid properties on this important yield increase design parameter are explained
