According to the results of the Danish University of Science and Technology research program, the thermal insulation of the double-glazed windows can be replaced by ordinary, individual heat storage boxes in a room full of sunlight. The basic idea is to use an insulating box to place a high calorific value phase change material, such as a mixture of C_aCl_2 and water. The device is a storage box. The insulated box ensures that heat is effectively transferred between it and the room air. Researchers have used two insulated boxes to test.
