Experimental studies have demonstrated that tumor growth depends on angiogenesis, and that the inward angiogenesis of new capillaries increases the chance of tumor cells entering the circulation. This article reports this correlation in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). 87 specimens (84 males and 3 females) of NSCLC undergo radical resection of tumors. The 60-year-old patients were T_1 No Mo patients according to the TNM stage. Twenty-eight of 87 cases recurred at the time of the report and died due to local (3 cases) or systemic (19 cases) tumor progression. Another 65 cases were asymptomatic.
