This year marks the 21st anniver-sary of the establishment of the mechanism of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). Later this year, a FOCAC meeting will be held in Senegal. Before the meeting, Wu Peng, Secretary General of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of FOCAC and Director General of the Department of African Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, gave an inter-view with ChinAfrica, sharing his views on the implementation of the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing Summit in 2018, expecta-tions of the upcoming meeting, and future cooperation between China and Africa.
