党的十四届五中全会的《决议》中指出,“要大力发展新型建筑材料及制品”,全国人大八届四次会议通过的《纲要》,将建筑业和建材工业列为支柱产业,并再次重申“大力增加优质产品,开发和推广新型建材产品”。最近,中央和国务院领导同志又指出,要把住宅产业培育成新的经济增长点,以住宅建设带动相关产业的发展。建设部也提出,要以墙体材料革新为突破口,推动住宅产业现代化进程。
