The LDP’s long-term governance as Japan’s largest political party has always been a hot spot for experts and scholars. The Liberal Democratic Party has the power to govern for a long time and its intra-party sectarianism plays a key role. Sending a Fight Valve In order to gain fierce fighting in power, even if one sectarian valve falls down, the other sectarian valve can continue its ruling power. The Liberal Democratic Party’s factional politics objectively played the role of “multi-party ruling,” which is called the so-called “quasi-regime change” effect, so that it can not only comply with the popular will but also prevent the opposition parties from seizing power. Long-term practice has proved that political party politics is the guarantee of long-term ruling by the LDP and the role of “quasi-regime change-over” is the secret of the long-term political power of the LDP.
