Based on the peer scoring data of papers reprinted in the 2010 Annual Report of Copying Press and Publication, the paper mainly uses the significance test of means of mean difference to explore the impact of fund grants on the quality of dissertations of humanities and social sciences. The results show that the impact of fund grants on the quality of empirical dissertations is greater than the impact on discernible disciplines; the quality of dissertations is not necessarily higher than that of non-fund dissertations, and even the quality of dissertation-funded dissertations is even higher in some disciplines The higher the level of fund-raising, the higher the number of high-quality papers, but the quality of the papers funded by different levels of funds is not significant difference. This requires that the scientific research management policies and measures be adjusted accordingly.
