1999年1月10～13日,第3届世界NGO国际研讨会在英国第三大城市伯明翰召开,来自世界近百个国家和地区的350多名代表汇聚一堂,就全球范围内方兴未艾的.NGO事业及其相关的一系列前沿问题展开了热烈讨论。作为首次参加世界NGO国际研讨会的中国代表,我和赵黎青(中央党校)、廖晓义(地球村环境文化中心)一起,应邀出席了这次会议。 NGO是英文Non-Governmental Organization的缩略语,中文一般译为“非政府组织”
From January 10 to January 13, 1999, the 3rd World NGO International Symposium was held in Birmingham, the third largest city in the UK. More than 350 delegates from nearly 100 countries and regions gathered to discuss the growing popularity of NGO Career and a series of cutting-edge issues related to a heated discussion. As the first Chinese representative to participate in the World NGO International Symposium, I was invited to attend the conference, together with Zhao Liqing (Central Party School) and Liao Xiaoyi (Global Village Environmental Culture Center). NGO is an acronym for English Non-Governmental Organization, the Chinese are generally translated as “non-governmental organizations”
