Objective : To investigate the inhibitory effect and possible mechanism of a compound capsule on transplanted tumors through tumor inhibition test and determination of several related immune parameters. Methods : Mouse transplantation Heps, S180 tumor suppressor and tumor bearing mice NK cell activity assay. RESULTS: The capsules had a tumor inhibition rate of greater than 30% in the growth of subcutaneously transplanted Heps and S180 tumors at doses of 4500, 900, and 2700 mg/kg bw, compared with negative controls. Significant or highly significant (P<0.05, P<0.01). At the same dose, the capsule enhanced the phagocytic function of mouse mononuclear-macrophage cells (P<0.05), increased NK cell activity (P<0.05), and enhanced cellular immune function in mice (P<0.05). <0.05, P<0.01), enhanced humoral immunity in mice (P < 0.01). Conclusion: The capsule can fully improve the body’s immune function and has anti-tumor effect.
