Hedong Village farmers popular in the theft of iron ore, open iron ore and other unauthorized “anti-behavior ” behind contains rich social and cultural implications. Confirming the ownership of iron ore, there is a conflict between the concept of peasants and the statutory property rights, that is, the peasants have unique property rights cognition. Furthermore, this property right recognition is embedded in the “classification of things” formed by peasants in their daily practice, and this schema is a deep social and cultural background that shapes peasant behavior. Visible, farmer cognition and behavior are affected by local knowledge and endogenous order. We must go beyond the assumption of rational peasants and survival ethics to reveal the motivation of farmers in specific cultural situations and understand their life world with their local practices.
