提到民居中的砖雕艺术,最广而皆知的莫过于山西民居砖雕,但是与山西相邻的陕西一些地区也受到了山西砖雕的技艺影响。木头峪村的古民居砖雕艺术就是在山西民居砖雕艺术的基础上潜移默化而来,在当地二十七座古民居院落的屋顶正脊、墀头、神龛这几处具有代表性的建筑构件中,不但可以寻找到山西民居砖雕的影子,而且可以从中感受到当地民俗质朴而又深厚的文化气息。
