湖北省竹山县是国家扶贫开发重点县和全省特困县,也是全省的资源大县。为了摆脱贫困,该县利用独特的资源优势,走出了一条以水电能源、新型建材、医药化工、农产品加工为主的特色工业之路。截至2008年底,全县规模以上企业达到66家,实现工业产值24亿元,税收7000万元,工业企业财政贡献率超过农业和服务业。
Zhushan County, Hubei Province, is a key county in the national poverty alleviation and development and a special poverty-stricken counties in the province, and is also a resource county in the province. In order to get out of poverty, the county has taken advantage of its unique resources to come up with a distinctive industrial road characterized by hydropower, new building materials, medicine, chemicals and agricultural products. By the end of 2008, the number of above-scale enterprises in the county had reached 66, with an industrial output value of 2.4 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 70 million yuan. The financial contribution rate of industrial enterprises exceeded that of agriculture and service industries.
