本文在简要回顾磁盘浮动技术的发展历史后着重介绍了目前正在发展的负压浮动技术。即采用NPS(Negative Pressure Slider)浮动块。 负压浮动技术是在温彻斯特技术的基础上发展的。将浮动面上的泄流槽用离子蚀刻法加工成只有4μm左右的深度,并形成一个前小后大反向扩展的截面,使它产生负向浮力,并以这负向浮力充作加载力,从而使浮动间隙进一步减小,浮动稳定性也大为提高,并且获得了起飞快、摩擦小、间隙稳定等优良的浮动性能。本文介绍了NSA形和IS形负压浮动块的实例。
