本文首次提出了一种新的分析CATV系统中的DFB发射光源的非线性失真的方法.该方法基于DFB激光器的输入-输出信号的映射函数,从信号分析的观点出发,采用离散傅立叶变换,直接得出CATV系统衡量非线性失真的测试参量.该方法避免采用一般分析方法中所必须的、一般不易测量的半导体激光器的参数,而从实验测得的输入-输出信号的映射函数出发,导出激光器管芯及激光器模块的各谐波分量和组合分量的大小.这种方法也可用来模拟DFB激光器的线性特性,提供对激光器管芯线性的定量估计.测试结果验证了本文给出的分析结果,证明了该方法的有效性.
This paper presents for the first time a new method to analyze the nonlinear distortion of DFB emission sources in a CATV system. The method is based on the mapping function of input-output signal of DFB laser. From the viewpoint of signal analysis, the discrete Fourier transform is used to obtain the test parameters of CATV system to measure the nonlinear distortion directly. This method avoids using the parameters of the semiconductor laser which are generally not easy to measure in the general analysis method and derives the harmonic components and combinations of the laser die and the laser module based on the experimentally measured mapping function of the input-output signal The size of the component. This method can also be used to simulate the linearity of a DFB laser and provide a quantitative estimate of the laser’s die linearity. The test results verify the analysis results presented in this paper, and prove the effectiveness of the method.
