东部沿海地区在改革开放、快速发展过程中积累了大量的成功经验,尤其是在解放思想、更新观念方面积累了不少宝贵经验,这些经验为西部大开发提供了有益的启示。一、东部沿海地区的快速发展和东、西部差距的扩大党的十一届三中全会以来,广东、江苏、上海、浙江、山东、福建等东部沿海地区经济迅猛发展,取得了突出的成绩。据统计,从1979年至1995年的17年间,我国经济年均增长率为9.8％,东部地区为12.8％。1995年后,东部沿海地区仍以高于10％的年均速度增
The eastern coastal areas have accumulated a great deal of successful experience in the process of reform and opening up and the rapid development. In particular, they have accumulated valuable experiences in emancipating the mind and in updating their concepts. These experiences have provided useful enlightenments for the development of the western region. I. Rapid Development of the Eastern Coastal Area and Widening the Gap between the East and the West Since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, the rapid economic development in the eastern coastal areas of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong and Fujian has yielded outstanding results. According to statistics, from 17 years 1979 to 1995, the average annual growth rate of China’s economy was 9.8% and that of the eastern region was 12.8%. After 1995, the eastern coastal areas are still increasing at an average annual rate of over 10%
