In 1986, I once performed a value analysis on the VHF mixing part of the TDQ-1 electronic tuner, which reduced the unit cost by 2.40 yuan and the annual benefit was over 1.2 million yuan. At the beginning of 1989, due to the unsalable sales of color TVs, our products were not sold well and the cost increased. The economic efficiency of enterprises was a “slippery slope”. How to get out of the predicament? The whole plant launched rationalization and promotion activities up and down, and conducted another value analysis on the leading product TDQ-1 to reduce product costs, and achieved economic benefits of more than RMB 1 million. First, analyze the status quo and choose goals. Our products include mechanical tuners, electronic tuners, program preselectors, wireless telephones, wireless data transmission machines, radios
