在治蝗工作中,也存在着两种思想的斗争,是向上伸手,躺在国家身上,还是迎难而上,依靠群众自力更生?河北省蝗区人民在学大庆精神,走大寨之路的鼓舞下,坚持自力更生,大搞节约治蝗。在解决治蝗问题上采取了两条措施,一是把治蝗经济补助政策真正地交给群众;一条是革新方法,土洋结合,大力推行糠麸毒饵。这样有力地促进了治蝗工作革命化。 从1964年开始,两年来全省毒饵治蝗833万亩(不包括扫残)占治蝗总面积的24.5％,有效地控制了蝗虫不起飞、不为害,而且大大节省了开支,节约了农药。据不完全统计全省共节约开支240多万元,少用农药3,000多万斤。
