残疾人社会康复是造就残疾社会人的社会系统工程，是使残疾人平等参与社会生活的特殊条件，是残疾人全面康复中的主导因素。残疾人社会康复功能表现为人格再塑、潜能开发、爱心醇化等。残疾人社会康复在我国尚处于起步阶段，因而在具体操作中还存有不少问题，有待改进和提高，以使残疾人社会康复实现到最大程度。
Social rehabilitation for disabled people is a social system project for people with disabilities. It is a special condition for equal participation of disabled people in social life and a leading factor in the comprehensive rehabilitation of disabled people. Social rehabilitation for disabled persons is characterized by personality remodeling, potential development, and compassionate love. Social rehabilitation of persons with disabilities is still in its infancy in our country. Therefore, there are still many problems in specific operations that need to be improved and enhanced to maximize the social rehabilitation of disabled people.
