The Midwest Lake uranium is located in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, near the eastern edge of the Arthur Baska Basin. The deposit is a flat, lenticular ore body covered with a halo of low grade ore-bearing sandstone. The ore body is composed of bitumen uranium ore and arsenic-nickel ore, and the average grade of uranium and nickel is 10% and 9% respectively. Low-grade sandstone contains carbon black pitch uranium ore and a small amount of arsenic-nickel ore with an average grade of 0.4% and 0.6% respectively. The main nickel-bearing minerals are arsenic-nickel ore, arsenic-nickel arsenic and rhombohedral arsenic-nickel deposits. The deposit was developed by Canadian Weed Mining Co. Ltd. In early 1983, in order to study the processing of uranium ore from Lake Zhongxihu, an ordinary sulfuric acid method was used to test it in an intermediate plant
