茯苓是我国的一种传统中药材,有除湿、利尿、健脾、安神等多种功能,《神农本草经》、《伤寒论》、《本草纲目》等均有记载。近来据有关专家研究,发现从茯苓中提取的多糖对某些癌症有抑制作用。茯苓还是药膳原料,用来制作茯苓晶、茯苓饴、茯苓饼干和茯苓糕等备受欢迎,不仅在国内畅销,美、日等国外市场也巳打开局面。因此发展茯苓生产,是山区人民利废致富,广开财源的好门路。
