许昌千佛造像幢及其时代考

1987年,千佛造像幢在许昌市出土。关于该幢的雕造年代及雕刻内容一直存在不同认识,多认为是北周雕造。笔者近期对该幢进行了细致考察和研究,对其雕刻内容和雕造时代又有新的认识,认为该造像幢的雕造年代当为晚唐五代而非北周雕造。在此,本文就该造像幢的型制、雕刻内容、造像题材以及时代特征等进行探究,以飨读者。一、许昌千佛造像幢的型制及雕刻内容许昌千佛造像幢(图一),实为造像幢之残件,现仅存幢身和天盖两部分。幢身为八角 In 1987, thousands of statues buildings excavated in Xuchang City.
