In June, it is affirmed that Yang Kun, vice president of Agricultural Bank of China, was placed under investigation due to complicated reasons.
It is reported that Yang Kun was related with several cases. First of all, he was involved in the case of Wang Yaohui, the actual director of the famous Blue Bay project in Beijing; secondly, he shared excessively intimate personal relationship with Gu JUnsha, deputy director of the General Logistics Department of the People’s Liberation Army. Gu was removed from his duty during this Spring Festival; thirdly, Yang Kun is possibly involved in the case of Xu Ming, president of Dalian Shide Group. These cases seem to be independent from each other and the relevant investigation departments are making surveys into them.
Prior to the exposal of his scandal, Yang Kun, 54, was the No. 1 vice president of the ABC and a hot candidate for the leading positions of big stateowned banks. Yang was the second highest-ranked senior executive of state-owned commercial banks in China falling for corruption after Zhang Enzhao, president of the China Construction Bank.

From April 1996, Yang Kun began to work in the business department as the senior executive in the market development department. In the next dozen of years, Yang Kun was always an active role in the front works.
He took the president of the Anhui Branch of ABC in 2000. Two years later he was appointed assistant to president of ABC while retaining his position in Anhui. In 2003 he moved back to the headquarters of ABC before taking the vice president of this bank in 2004. In 2009 he became the executive director of the ABC.
