In this paper, a new method was developed for the determination of trace Fe (Ⅲ) by catalytic spectrophotometry in the medium of Na_2B_4O_7-HCl (pH8.8) catalyzed by Fe (Ⅲ) to catalyze the oxidation of bromopyrogallol red by H_2O_2.
