The original VX-7R, the new Walkman VX-7R from YSESU in the October issue of QST magazine, looks very similar to the predecessor VX-5R. The machine was evaluated by Jay Maybie (NU0X) in the May 1999 issue of QST magazine. The VX-7R is longer and wider than the VX-5R, but the difference is not obvious, which requires you to give it an initial check carefully. However, the first time I opened the package and saw a new walkie-talkie, I found some subtle enough subtle changes that inspired my exploration of it. VX-5R users do not take a long time to notice its improvement.
