At the Never-ending Clustering Solutions Symposium at the end of 2000, the UNIX provider SCO and Compaq Inc. introduced the NSC Nonstop Cluster Solution. UnixWare 7NonStoP clustering software running on Compaq’s Proliant servers reduces downtime and scales easily. According to a review by computer systems review firm DH BROWN and the Association of Highly Available Industry Consultants, NSC can reduce the administrative costs of business-critical computing environments, where “single system image (SSI)” enables multiple cluster nodes to communicate with a single SMP system as easy to use and manage. NSC also applies to a variety of models from Proliant800 to upscale 8-way server. IntelWareWare UnixWare 7 non-stop cluster solution
