礼貌原则的研究目的是通过了解不同文化、社会、民族和不同地域环境下所形成的礼貌需求,从而使交际双方始终保持保持一种和谐的谈话氛围。我们选取中国现代经典戏剧《茶馆》及其英若诚、霍华两个英译本为研究语料,考察《茶馆》及其两英译本基于中西不同文化背景下的礼貌原则及其蕴含的社会文化意义。
The purpose of the study of politeness principle is to understand the politeness needs formed in different cultures, communities, ethnic groups and different geographical environments so that both parties in communication will always maintain a harmonious atmosphere of conversation. In order to study the “Teahouse” and its two English versions, based on the politeness principle and its social and cultural meanings in different cultural backgrounds of China and the West, we choose the Chinese modern classic drama “Tea House” and its two English versions of Ying Ruocheng and Howard. .
