Wei Tianlin (1898--1977) is a pioneer of modern oil painting in our country. He spent his life engaged in oil painting creation and art education, his oil painting art has a profound impact on the development of modern Chinese painting. According to the existing material analysis, Wei Tianlin’s oil painting should be initially formed during the study period in Japan in the 1920s, developed and perfected after the founding of New China, and finally reached maturity. Sublimation was the last 10 years before Wei Tianlin’s death. His artistic style of expressionism tendentiousness (still belonged to realistic painting body)
