曼斯菲尔德是20世纪初英国文坛上杰出的优秀女作家之一,文笔流畅,语言细腻。富有“中国曼斯菲尔德”之称的凌叔华文风亦清新明畅。两位女作家的《第一次舞会》与《茶会以后》都以青春少女理想的幻灭为主题,反映了两位作家相似的风格和看待女性问题独特的视角以及对女性的关心。
Mansfield was one of the outstanding female writers in the early 20th century in English literary world. His writing style is fluent and the language is exquisite. Rich “China Mansfield ” said Ling Shuhua style of writing is also fresh and smooth. The two women writers’ “First Ball” and “After the Tea Party” all focus on the ideal disillusionment of young girls. They reflect the similar style of the two writers and the unique perspective on women’s issues and their concern for women.
