有色冶炼工厂为防止工艺过程烟气(或废气)中汞直接排放到大气中污染环境,采用碘络合法即用碘化钾溶液吸收烟气中汞以消除汞害。为此,提出测定碘化钾吸收液中汞的要求。由于该吸收液中碘离子浓度大为过量,所以被吸收的汞形成稳定的四碘化汞络阴离子,其不稳定常数为1.48×10~(-30)。高含量汞常用的测定方法——硫氰酸盐容量法,因硫氰酸汞的溶度积为3.4×10~(-18),不能直接用于吸收液中汞的测定。
