Objective: To investigate the value of serum glutamic acid decarboxylase antibody (GADA) in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B patients. Methods: Eleven patients with chronic hepatitis B admitted to our hospital were enrolled. Before treatment, the positive rate of GADA in the serum of the patients was examined by ELISA. After the 12-week treatment period, the patients’ recovery was checked and scored. Meanwhile, GADA positive rate in patients with serum, compared with before treatment. Results: After the treatment, the positive rate of GADA in patients was significantly lower than before treatment, the better the treatment effect, the lower the positive rate of GADA. Conclusion: GADA is one of the most important indicators for judging hepatitis B in clinical practice. The positive degree of GADA can also reflect the severity of the disease from a certain extent.
