梅兰竹松菊,瓜果菜藕蒜,蜂蝶蝉猫兽,这些大自然的杰作!有多少画家在它们跟前流连,多少画家把它们纵情描画。它们,是古老而又鲜活的永恒题材。花鸟草虫,唐代画家把它们表现得雍容华贵,宋代画家把它们表现得精微纤丽,元代的粗放挺拔,明代的郁勃深沉,清代的明艳亮丽……花鸟画中的时代精神及画家个人的创造力,构成了传统花鸟画多姿多彩的格局。就画家个人而言,应该不断锤炼表现技法,不断开掘审美新领域,不断加深对自我的认识,不断升华自己的心灵。成功的艺术家,总是以独特的心灵去滋润或震撼别人的心灵。而我,则希望在大笔浓墨的咫尺画幅中表现个性中的自由不羁,让丰富的情感在倔强坚定中浪漫奔放。
