When they first arrive in Japan, they will be surprised to find that there is no sewer manhole cover on the national roads, main roads and main driveway of Japan. Drive on such a road without bumps and worrying “嘭” squeaking as you roll over the manhole cover. So, is there really no sewer manhole cover in Japan’s main motor drive? Actually not, but the sewer covers are buried under the asphalt pavement, so as to keep the road clean. However, Japan is a country rich in rainfall. If the manhole cover is buried under the asphalt surface, how is the sewage drained?
