The group led by Qiu Quanyu, a professor and doctoral tutor of the School of Basic Medical Sciences of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, started the new research field of leukocyte-human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) adhesion through a combination of in vivo and in vitro tests. Observe the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine on immune and anti-inflammatory reactions. The study found that replenishing Chinese herbs enhanced the expression of ICAM-1 on CD18 and HUVEC on leukocytes.
