Systemic hemodynamic instability is a key factor in the onset of syncope, but plasticity and changes in synaptic brain precursors in syncope in healthy individuals are not yet known. The authors used a lower body negative pressure test (LBNP) to simulate reduced central blood volume to assess brain autoregulation.
