江苏省苏州市乡镇工业近几年来有了突飞猛进的发展。1984年完成产值56亿多元,比上年实际增长50%以上,比1980年增长1.42倍,为全市当年工农业总产值156.3亿元的三分之一;缴纳税金3.15亿元,比上年实际增长18.57%,占全市财政收入12.5亿元的四分之一。全市乡、镇、村办工业企业10,499家,形成机械、轻工、电子、化工、冶金、医药、纺织、丝绸、工艺美术和建筑材料十大行业。苏州市乡镇工业能够如此高速发展的原因。从客观上看,是在农村人多地少,农业劳动生产力提高,大量劳动力需要找出路的
