Thanks to Prof. Qi Pu and Prof. Sun Zanying for their interest in our research on the mechanism and critical conditions for the abnormal transmission of highly sediment-laden floodplains in non-floodplains. Their discussions are good for further research on academic issues. However, it should be noted that their criticism is actually caused by the misunderstanding of the basic concepts of fluid mechanics and the misreading of our dissertation. Our research is aimed at the high turbulent flow in the lower Yellow River.
