殷宏章先生是我国著名的植物生理学家,光合作用研究的先驱,在植物生物化学、光合作用和生长发育等领域取得过重要的研究成果。殷先生很早便开始研究生长素与植物运动机理的联系,用自己发明的一种组织化学方法,阐明了磷酸化酶与植物中淀粉合成的关系。20世纪50年代,殷先生参与组建我国第一个光合作用研究室,致力于光合磷酸化、物质转化、群体生理等方面的研究,为中国植物生理学的发展做出了重要贡献。今年是殷宏章先生诞辰100周年,《生命世界》为此特刊登殷先生子女及殷先生本人的两篇回忆性文章,以表达我们对这位具有国际声誉的杰出科学家的怀念。
Mr. Yin Hongzhang is a famous plant physiologist in China. He is a pioneer in photosynthesis research and has made important research achievements in the fields of plant biochemistry, photosynthesis and growth and development. Mr. Yin began studying the relationship between auxin and plant movement mechanism early in the day and elucidated the relationship between phosphorylase and starch synthesis in plants by using a histochemical method invented by himself. In the 1950s, Mr. Yin participated in the formation of the first research lab of photosynthesis in China, which is devoted to the research of photosynthesis and phosphorylation, material transformation and group physiology, which made important contributions to the development of plant physiology in China. This year is the 100th anniversary of Mr. Yin Hongzhang’s birth. The “World of Life” contains two retrospective articles about the children of Mr. Yin and Mr. Yin himself to express our memory of this outstanding scientist with an international reputation.
