As an independent receptor system, α 2 -adrenergic receptor (α 2 -AR) is widely distributed in the nervous system and cardiovascular system, and is involved in the regulation of neurotransmitter release and blood pressure. The use of pharmacology and gene cloning technology has confirmed that α_2-AR can be divided into at least α 2A 2A and α 2B 2B -AR two subtypes, and there have been more evidence of the existence of subtypes. In addition to the cAMP system, Na ~ + / H ~ + exchange, K ~ + and Ca ~ (2+) channels may also play an important role in the information transmission of α_2-AR. In elderly, high blood pressure, angina pectoris when α 2-AR changes suggest that α 2-AR has a significant impact on the occurrence and development of the disease.
