从道家洞天到观音圣界——中古东亚文化交流背景中的普陀山开基故事

在佛教中国化的过程中,浙江舟山群岛的普陀山被认定为观音说法的圣地,并得到东亚,乃至全世界的广泛认可。古印度佛经中的观音说法地实际另有所指,与普陀山自然风貌相近的近海处所也并非绝无仅有,甚至唐代中期以前,普陀山在世人心目中是道家修炼的海中蓬莱。从道家洞天到观音圣界,普陀山作为观音信仰圣地的开基,与其处于东北亚航线与东南亚航线交汇之处的地理位置密切相关。诸种普陀山开基故事中,日僧慧锷渡海留像一事日益得到中外史料的证实,但从时代背景来看,梵僧和新罗贾人也活跃于当时的航线之上。多种开基故事表明,普陀山作为观音信仰圣地的发轫正由多元文化的接触所成就。 In the process of sinicizing Buddhism, Mount Putuo in Zhoushan Islands of Zhejiang Province was recognized as a sacred site of Guanyin, and widely recognized by East Asia and even the whole world. In fact, the ancient Buddhism in Guanyin is actually referred to in other words. The offshore space similar to Putuoshan is not unique. Even before the Tang Dynasty, Putuoshan was the penguin of the Taoists in the world. From Taoist Cave to Guanyin Holy Land, Putuo Mountain, as the base of Guanyin Holy Land, is closely related to its geographic location at the intersection of Northeast Asia route and Southeast Asia route. In various open-pit stories in Putuoshan Mountain, the image of Japanese priests’ immortals crossing the sea has been increasingly confirmed by both Chinese and foreign historical materials. However, from the background of time, the Buddhist monks and Sintars also became active in the current route. A variety of open-ended stories show that Putuo Mountain as the holy landmarks of Guanyin Faith is being achieved by the multi-cultural contacts.
