Hybrid rice has obvious advantages in increasing yield. Since the 1960s, our country’s scientific and technological personnel have successively cultivated three-line hybrid rice, two-line hybrid rice and super hybrid rice, which have made great contributions to China’s food security and world cereal production. As the main crop, rice is cultivated widely in over 120 countries and regions. Over half of the world’s population is dominated by rice, but the average global output of rice is only about 200 kg per mu. Food security has now become a common global concern.
