任免令是各级组织、人事及其它有关部门在管理工作中形成的重要文件材料之一。它详细地记录着各级领导干部的职务及任免职时间,真实地反映着各机关团体、企事业单位的组织沿革,为领导干部的培养、选拔、管理、使用提供决策依据,是其它任何资料所不能替代的历史凭证。按照国家档案局关于机关档案保管期限的规定,“本机关领导人,本机关对直属单位领导人任免的文件材料应永久保存”。笔者在近几年的档案工作实践中发现,任免令的保管期限划分尚不尽合理,有待于进一步改进。
