So far, more than 20 paintings have been unearthed in the funeral of Chu and Han dynasties. Two silk paintings of the Warring States Period and two “T” silk paintings of the Western Han Dynasty are still the earliest representations of single-format Chinese paintings that can be seen so far. The way of thinking of painting, the sense of space, the characteristics of modeling and the methods of expression reflected in the works play an irreplaceable role in our understanding of the pluralistic tradition of national painting. Therefore, the correct interpretation of its content and comprehensive study has become a very important task.
