作品以浪漫和现实主义相结合的艺术手法,吸收传统壁画的艺术形式来处理构思、构图和色彩的设计;以敦煌神话中的飞天仙女和嫦娥迎接女航天员到月宫作客的浪漫情节作为画面主体;背景用祥云、云海、航天发射、长城、敦煌石窟艺术、月宫等来表现古老、文明、伟大的中华民族的崛起复兴和祥瑞蓬勃的国运盛世气象,共同托现“中华民族实现千年飞天伟大梦想”的这一重大主题思想。作品在山西第十六届美展展出,获得专家和观众的一致好评。
