Quanzhou, Fujian Province, has a large number of Christian stone inscriptions with inscriptions and rich images during the Mongolian Yuan Dynasty. These stone inscriptions are unique sources of insight into the cultural adaptation process that took place in southern China during the Yuan Dynasty. By examining the images of the stone carvings in Quanzhou, such as the cross and the flying sky, as well as the comparative studies with the similarities unearthed in Central Asia and South India, we can see that the Quanzhou Christian community is not simply adapted to the local culture, These elements make them compatible with Christian teachings and paraphrases, creating a special image that combines Christianity, Buddhism and Mongolian elements. This multi-cultural religious stone carving was unprecedented at the time.
