经过近半年紧张、有序和充分的筹备与征稿,由中国书法家协会主办、《中国书法》杂志承办的全国第七届中青年书法篆刻家作品展的初评、复评、终评及评奖等工作,于一九九七年八月九日在山东威海合庆山庄圆满结束。中国书协副秘书长、《中国书法》主编、本届展览的主任评委刘正成,副主任评委朱关田、王镛、王澄、何应辉、聂成文,以及来自各地的评委(详见全国第七届中青年书法篆刻家作品展评委名单’)参加了这次评审。评审期间,中国文联副主席、中国书协代主席沈鹏同志,在百忙中莅临威海评审现场,对整个评审的工作,投之以极大的关注和指导。以雷志雄、田树苌为团长的、由国内主要书法报刊记者和部分没有评委省份书协的代表组成的评审观察团,对评审工作作了全过程的观察与报
After nearly half a year of intense, orderly and adequate preparation and solicitation, the China Calligraphers Association hosted the “China Calligraphy” magazine hosted the Seventh Young and Middle Chinese calligraphy and seal cutting works of the first review, re-evaluation, final comments and awards and so on On August 9, 1997, the completion of Heqing Villa in Weihai, Shandong Province was successfully concluded. Deputy secretary general of China Association of Shijiazhuang, chief editor of “Chinese Calligraphy”, Liu Zhengcheng, chief judge of this exhibition, Zhu Guantian, Wang Jue, Wang Cheng, He Yinghui, Nie Chengwen and judges from all over (see the 7th Young and middle-aged calligraphy and seal cutting works list of judges’) participated in this review. During the jury period, Comrade Shen Peng, vice chairman of China Federation of Literature and Art, and acting chairman of the Chinese Book Association, came to Weihai to judge the venue on his busy schedule and paid great attention and guidance to the entire review and assessment work. With Lei Zhixiong and Tian Shumeng as their heads, the appraisal and observation team composed of the major domestic calligraphers and press reporters and some representatives from the provincial book clubs, made observations and reports on the entire review process
