王维仁:关于建筑教育的思考我们谈建筑教育要开放什么?要如何多元?首先要问自己教育的定位是什么,价值是什么?才能够认清我们教育的方向是什么。如果我们认同建筑创造基本的人文价值,我们必须首先认清,建筑在一个消费社会中,作为一种文化抵抗与公共性维系的功能与价值。在资讯与商品全球化的今天,我们必须承认建筑也是一种媒体媒介,亦是一种商品。在建筑师常常可以不再受建筑的形式或使用功能限制,进行形式自由创作的过程中,我们几乎无法分辨什么是好的建筑,什么是廉价的建筑商品。在一座开放多元的建筑城市中,当建筑只能变成一个观赏的器物,变成互相竞争的形式个体,建筑本身的结构、功能、使用、公共空间的意义何在?

First of all, we must ask ourselves what is the orientation of education and what is the value? Only by recognizing what direction our education is. If we agree with the building to create basic humanistic values, we must first recognize that it is built in a consumer society as a function and value of cultural resistance and publicability. Today, in the globalization of information and commodities, we must recognize that architecture is also a media medium and a commodity. While architects are often no longer limited by the form of architecture or use of functions, in the process of free creation of forms, it is almost impossible to distinguish what is good architecture and what is cheap construction goods. In an open and diversified architectural city, when the building can only become an ornamental object and become a competing individual, what is the significance of the structure, function, use and public space of the building itself?
